A Coosa County woman was killed in a multi-car crash just before 11 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said 19-year-old Kaylee Veitch, of Rockford, was killed when her Nissan Altima collided head-on with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer. After the initial collision, Vetich's car then struck a Chevrolet Express van.
Veitch was not using a seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene. The crash happened on U.S. 231 about seven miles east of Weogufka. ALEA is investigating.
