Gardai at the scene this morning of the road traffic accident, involving a bus, truck and a car in Co Meath. 

Two people have died and up to 10 people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Co Meath. 
The collision, which involved a Bus Éireann bus, a truck, and a car, happened on the R132 in Gormanston on Monday morning. 
The male driver of the lorry, aged his 40s, and the male driver of the bus, aged in his 50s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver of the car, in her 40s, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A teenage girl, who was also in the car, was initially taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, but was transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A number of people have also been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The R132 is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place. A large amount of debris and the damaged vehicles remain at the scene.
Locals in the area have spoken of the horror of waking up to news of the fatal multi-vehicle crash.
Two local residents recalled how they had heard sirens at around 7.30am and knew “something was wrong.” One woman told the Irish Examiner: “I could hear all the noise, especially the sirens going off and I rang my husband who said it was all in the local WhatsApp group.
“Its awful, we walk this area every morning but gardaí told us we can’t walk there this morning. 
“I am just shocked, and everyone is keeping each other informed on the local WhatsApp group.” 
Another woman said: “I was trying to walk my dog but the gardaí told me to come back, I had no idea the vehicles are still at the scene.
“I am just wishing the families who lost their loved ones this morning the best – they are all on my mind.”
“There is a father now going between two hospitals – one in Beaumont and the other Temple Street. Can you imagine how awful that is for him?”
The Bus Éireann vehicle involved was part of the 101 service which travels from Dublin City Centre to Drogheda via Balbriggan and Gormanstown Cross.
A Bus Éireann spokesperson said they continue to work with the emergency services following the multi vehicle road traffic collision.
Jean O’Sullivan, CEO, Bus Éireann CEO, Jean O’Sullivan said: “We are devastated by this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues of our Bus Éireann driver who has sadly lost his life, and with the family and friends of the driver of the other vehicle who also passed away.
“The loss of a colleague is a shock to everyone across Bus Éireann – our thoughts are very much with our colleague’s family, friends and the many co-workers who are devastated at the loss.
“Our thoughts are also with the other driver’s family, with our passengers and with the occupants of the third vehicle who have been injured and are receiving care in hospital. At Bus Éireann, safety is our highest priority, and we of course are cooperating with the relevant authorities. We remain committed to supporting all those affected and assisting the authorities in every way we can.”
Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien, said: “I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of this morning’s tragic road traffic collision near Gormanstown, Co. Meath.
“At this time, my thoughts and prayers are with the families and communities of those involved. I am wishing for a swift recovery for those injured in the incident.
Mr O’Brien added: “I would like to commend the first responders who are attending the scene today for their hard work and professionalism in difficult circumstances. My Department is in close contact with Bus Éireann and the NTA and is providing all necessary support.”
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the R132, at Gormanstown, Co Meath, between 5.45am and 6.45am this morning have been asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
