ALLEN, NEW YORK. (WFSB) – A shooting in New York claimed the life of a Connecticut man and his brother on Sunday night.
At around 10:06 p.m. troopers were called to the area of Botsford Hollow Road in Allen, New York after a report of a disturbance, according to New York State Police.
When crews arrived on scene, they found two people dead inside of a residence.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that three brothers were staying at a hunting cabin on Botsford Hollow Road when an altercation began.
One of the brothers then called 911 for help.
Police said during this incident, 65-year-old Scot D. Thompson of Englewood, Florida shot and killed both of his brothers with a rifle.
Officials identified the victims as 70-year-old Mark B. Thompson of Canterbury and 69-year-old David E. Thompson of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Thompson then fled the scene in one of his brother’s vehicles.
Troopers were able to find the vehicle and arrested Thompson and placed him in custody as he waits for his court date.
This case remains under investigation at this time.
No further details were released.
