Gwent Police have confirmed that four vehicles were involved in a collision on the M4 Eastbound earlier this morning.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We had a road traffic collision reported to us involving four cars at about 6.40am this morning. No injuries were reported.”
The incident has triggered significant disruption between J28 A48 (Tredegar Park) and J23A A4810 (Magor Services), with severe delays of around 78 minutes and queues continuing to grow.

Traffic is currently moving at very slow speeds, with some stretches crawling at around 5mph.

Traffic Wales issued an update on the situation, saying: “Collision M4 Eastbound J24 Coldra – J23 Rogiet. Lane 3 – Blocked due to collision. Police at scene. Delays expected.”
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible or allow extra time for their journeys as congestion remains heavy.
