Mahindra will launch the new BE 6 Formula E Edition today on 26 November 2025, at the Scream Electric event in Bengaluru. This special edition will highlight Mahindra’s involvement in the Formula E series and strengthen the link between its road cars and electric racing programme. This BE 6 Formula E Edition will use design cues linked to its Formula E team, possibly including a Firestorm Orange finish, motorsport-style graphics and updated front and rear elements. This edition targets buyers who follow motorsport and want an electric SUV that reflects Mahindra’s racing link, creating a bridge between the racetrack and daily mobility.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition will stand apart from the standard BE 6 through its colour and graphics. The Firestorm Orange paint is expected to be paired with Formula E decals and a revised styling package. The front receives eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps, and the rear uses a continuous light bar. These elements give the edition a racing-linked identity while keeping the structure of the regular BE 6. Mahindra has positioned this edition to bring motorsport cues into a road-ready electric SUV.
Mahindra has kept the same powertrain setup as the standard BE 6. The Formula E Edition uses a rear-wheel-drive layout with an electric motor and two battery choices: 59kWh and 79kWh. Both battery packs deliver a usable driving range of more than 500km in normal conditions. Mahindra has also kept open the option of adding an all-wheel-drive version later, which would improve traction once introduced.
The BE 6 Formula E Edition continues to run on the INGLO platform, which Mahindra co-developed with Volkswagen. The platform supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in about 20 minutes. The interior may receive updates such as specific insignia, revised trim and racing-inspired details, although Mahindra has not released complete cabin information yet. These changes are expected to match the Formula E theme seen on the exterior.

Mahindra is expected to price the BE 6 Formula E Edition between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 28 lakh (ex-showroom). This places it above the standard BE 6 range due to its limited-run nature and themed updates. The edition also follows the BE 6’s demonstration laps at the London E-Prix, where it became the first India-made electric SUV to drive on a Formula E circuit.
