A SCHOOLGIRL has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy road in a Scottish town.
The 15-year-old was struck by a vehicle on Main Road in the Ferguslie area of Paisley this afternoon.

Emergency crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 4pm.
She was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
The extent of her injuries and her current condition are not known.
Police locked down the scene after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

A large ambulance was spotted making its way out of the busy road as smaller ambulance cars and paramedics sat parked nearby.
Several officers were also seen standing guard in the area as locals were blocked from passing through.
The road was closed as officers dealt with the incident.

The force has launched a probe into the incident and has said that enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Thursday, 27 November, 2025, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Road, Ferguslie, Paisley.
“Emergency services attended, and a 15-year-old female was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
