UPDATE: The Scarborough Police Department says they've arrested Thomas Sawyer, 27, of Warren, Maine, who reportedly is the suspect in Wednesday's robbery. Police say Sawyer was apprehended in Lakewood, New Jersey after being involved in a car crash.

SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGME) — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Scarborough bank on Wednesday afternoon.
Police got a 911 call reporting a robbery at the Chase Bank on Hannaford Drive around 1:40 p.m.
No weapon was shown during the robbery and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.
The suspect fled in a maroon Chevrolet Trailblazer with out-of-state license plates.
Police say the suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s with blond hair and “stubble” facial. He was wearing a gray sweater, black sunglasses, jeans and tennis shoes.
Shortly after the robbery, witnesses told police a similar-style vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Gorham Road near Mussey Road. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene of the crash continuing northbound on Gorham Road.
