BMW Z4 Final Edition
A special edition of the third and current generation Z4 roadster, the G29, has been unveiled. The BMW Z4 Final Edition marks the end of the two-seater’s production run, which is scheduled to conclude in March 2026.
Finished in BMW Individual Frozen Matt Black, exclusive to the BMW Z4 Final Edition, the roadster also features M High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim. Another distinctive touch is the M Sport brake callipers drenched in High-gloss Red. These red accents carry into the cabin, where red contrast stitching appears throughout, including on the steering wheel.
It’s a sad moment for the car-design community, as the Z4 departs not just as a model but as a design icon since its launch in 2002.

Škoda 100 reimagined
Škoda’s exterior designer Martin Paclt has reimagined the Škoda 100 as a modern-day sedan.
The Škoda 100 was an obvious choice for Paclt. He explained: “I wanted to work with a car that people know welland that many once owned themselves. The Škoda 100 appealed to me with its clean, timeless lines, which resonate strongly with the current Modern Solid design direction.”
Paclt deliberately avoided a retro-styled recreation, instead aiming to preserve the essence of the original through proportions and character. As a result, this reinterpretation features flowing surfaces and large, uninterrupted volumes.
Modern cues have been woven into this concept, with a four-element headlight graphic and light strips spanning the front and rear.
The most interesting design choice is the removal of the rear window. “The windows were almost interchangeable, and I thought it would be interesting to play with that connection,” Paclt said. “It’s a small attempt to challenge established rules. It will certainly evoke emotions, and design should do exactly that.”
The absence of the rear window allowed Paclt to integrate a fresh-air intake system in that area, alongside minimalist vents on the rear fenders. “Even an electric vehicle —because this vision is intended as an electric car — requires cooling,” he noted. “Placing the intake above the roof also looks cool and effectively directs air to the technical components located behind the cabin. It made sense to maintain the original Škoda 100’s rear-engine philosophy.”
Paclt has been with for Škoda for over 11 years, contributing to models such as the Enyaq, Karoq and Kodiaq, and most recently to the Vision O concept
