The Ukrainian defense company UkrArmoTech has developed a new tactical armored vehicle DESNA for the needs of the military.
The company’s press service announced this on Facebook and published the relevant photos.
The vehicle has a modular design and optimal weight distribution along the axles, which ensures movement in a complex landscape.
The company said that the development of the all-wheel drive vehicle is an initiative in response to the Armed Forces’ need for a multipurpose off-road vehicle weighing up to 8 tons.
“So, we have developed a sample that, according to our estimates, has the necessary level of protection, ergonomics and functionality, and should fit into the line of serial armored vehicles for our military,” the company said.

It is noted that during the development process, UkrArmoTech designers took into account the best models from leading manufacturers used in the armies of many countries, as well as those products used by the enemy on the battlefield.
The DESNA tactical armored vehicle has now begun codification tests. The vehicle has an automatic transmission and a reliable engine. It has received repairable solutions that are used in other production vehicles of the Ukrainian defense company.
In addition, codification tests of the GYURZA-03 armored vehicle have begun, which was a response to a request from the Ukrainian military for safe transportation of ammunition.
“We have made a fully enclosed cabin for 5 people, and the cargo compartment for the transportation of ammunition was separated from the troop compartment,” UkrArmoTech said.

The company added that the modular design allows the GYURZA-03 platform to accommodate various types of equipment weighing up to 3 tons.
At the same time, the main task for the new armored vehicle is the safe transportation of personnel, cargo, ammunition and light artillery.
