Two teenagers were rushed to hospital for treatment after they were struck by a car which mounted the footpath in Co Dublin.
Gardaí were called to the scene following reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and two pedestrians in Foxrock, south Dublin 18, at approximately 7.30pm on Friday, November 28.
According to gardai, a car mounted the footpath and collided with a lamp-post and bin, resulting in injuries to two pedestrians on the N11 at Foxrock.
Emergency services attended and the injured pedestrians, two boys in their mid-teens, were taken to hospital. One remains in CHI Crumlin receiving treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was also transported to hospital for medical assessment.
The road was closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out a technical examination of the scene, but it has since reopened to traffic.
An investigation into the collision is underway and gardai have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
A garda spokesperson said:"Gardaí at Dún Laoghaire are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a car and two pedestrians in Foxrock, Dublin 18, on Friday, 28th November 2025.
"At approximately 7:30pm, Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a car mounting the footpath and colliding with a lamp-post and bin, resulting in injuries to two pedestrians on the N11 at Foxrock.
"The injured pedestrians, two males in their mid-teens, were taken to hospital. One remains in CHI Crumlin receiving treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, a man in his 20s, was also transported to hospital for medical assessment.
"The scene was examined and the road has since been fully reopened to traffic.
"Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
"Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N11 at Foxrock around the time of the incident are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Dún Laoghaire Garda Station on 01 6665000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
The garda spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing.
