The A27 was closed this evening due to a serious crash which saw a car flipped onto its side.
Pictures from the scene at Crockhurst Hill in Worthing show two cars involved in the collision, with police closing off the road while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The collision is understood to have happened before 7.50pm today.
According to traffic reports, the road has now reopened.
Sussex Police has been approached for more information.
