A car fire blocked a Cambridgeshire road on Wednesday morning (December 3). The A1307 near Babraham was blocked between the A11 and Mile Road.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 6.57am today with reports of a BMW on fire on the A1307 heading towards Addenbrooke’s Hospital, close to the Babraham Research Centre roundabout. The car fire caused heavy delays in the area, with traffic backed up to the A11 at Fourwentways.
"Officers and firefighters attended but there were no reported injuries. Recovery is on the way."
Traffic monitoring company Inrix reported "very slow" moving traffic, while Cambridgeshire County Council described three-mile delays. The road had cleared by 10.30am, and traffic started easing afterwards.

The A1307 has cleared and delays have eased, according to Cambridgeshire County Council.

The traffic problems on the A1307 were caused by a car on fire.

Cambridgeshire County Council has described three-mile delays, while traffic monitoring company Inrix is reporting "very slow traffic". Cambridgeshire Police has advised that drivers find alternative routes.
