Police arrested a suspected DUI driver after he allegedly hit a group of Anaheim High School runners. Tracey Leong reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2025.
A driver suspected of DUI struck a group of high school track and field team members on Wednesday after crashing into an Anaheim home’s wall, police said.
A total of eight students who are part of Anaheim High School’s team on a training run were injured by the driver, according to police in Orange County. The crash was reported around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and North Street.

NewsChopper4 was over the scene, where several emergency personnel responded. At least one person was seen being tended to on a stretcher. A red car was seen on the sidewalk with heavy damage to its front after crashing into a home’s wall.
Police did not release the name of the driver, but described him as a 27-year-old man who was hospitalized in unknown condition. Law enforcement did not specify what charges he could face.
Some students were seriously hurt, though it’s unclear exactly how many. Authorities did not detail how many students were sent to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
