Only 100 McLaren MonoCell Edition chairs will be built, featuring a carbon fiber shell and microsuede
Plenty of folks have dreams of owning a supercar, but few ever have the cash to make that dream come true. Now, anybody with $2,000 can have their very own brand-new McLaren-branded gaming chair.
That’s right, the people behind the W1 have teamed up with Secretlab to build a 100-unit run of carbon-fiber-shelled seats for staring at a monitor.

Dubbed the Secretlab McLaren MonoCell Edition, this seat pulls design cues straight from the British automaker’s playbook. It comes with real carbon fiber, a serialized badge on the rear, and a price tag that even some supercar owners might balk at.
Secretlab will make exactly 100 examples and each is available for $1,999. Order books open up on December 15 at 8 a.m. PST. Before you get too stoked to splash that cash on this gaming chair, be aware.
All sales are final. Buyers can’t cancel their order after the fact. They can’t return it and they can’t exchange it either. Buy with confidence I suppose. Founded or unfounded that is.
For what it’s worth, the construction does sound up to McLaren’s high standards. Secretlab says the carbon fiber shell mirrors the teardrop shape of the automaker’s hypercars.
Finished in Dinamica microsuede, it should feel just like a real supercar cabin to the degree that a chair with wheels can. Underneath the fancy packaging, the seat itself is a familiar unit.
It’s a riff off of Secretlab’s TITAN Evo, which comes with cold-cure foam, a “pebble” seat base, and the brand’s unique four-way L-ADAPT lumbar support. According to the chair-maker, the seat is meant to provide better weight distribution, more stable support, and long-session pressure relief.
For buyers who don’t manage to grab one of the 100 MonoCell units, Secretlab is also offering the TITAN Evo McLaren Edition, which uses carbon-fiber-look leatherette and shares more conventional materials with the brand’s existing lineup.
It starts at just $799 and is largely identical in built quality to the Lamborghini Secretlab collab from the past.
