LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — Police say a car jumped a curb and hit a woman walking near Kennedy Park in Lewiston.
Police say a woman was walking along the Park Street side of Kennedy Park directly across from Lewiston City Hall around 1 p.m. on Friday when she was hit was by a vehicle.
According to police, the vehicle was driving on Park Street, jumped the curb, and went into Kennedy Park before stopping.
The injured woman was taken to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
