A person has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a vehicle crashed into parked cars and a garden wall in South Gloucestershire.
Just after midnight today (Saturday, December 13) officers were called to Kingswood near Bristol, following a collision involving a grey Volkswagen Golf.
Images from the crash scene along New Cheltenham Road show two badly-damaged cars on the pavement of the residential road, partly across two front gardens.
One is on its side and surrounded by bricks from a garden wall that was smashed during the collision, according to a neighbour.
Police have now confirmed one person was taken to hospital with injuries which are thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed in both directions while an investigation was carried out.
Avon and Somerset Police is now appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with its investigation.
The force said it is interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, or who has any dashcam footage, which could aid with enquiries.
Anyone who can help, is urged to call 101 and quote reference 5225349663.
