Motorists can enjoy free parking on 26 Stoke-on-Trent car parks today. Stoke-on-Trent City Council is offiering the free parking across Hanley, Stoke, Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Longton, and Meir on the last two Saturdays before Christmas.
The offer applies to council-run surface-level car parks – and not on-street parking.
Councillor Amjid Wazir, cabinet member for city pride, said: “Christmas is fast approaching and with it comes more footfall into our towns and city – and not just for Christmas shopping. Plenty of festive events are happening in town centres and it is a time when people come together to meet up. Take the opportunity to support your local high street this Christmas.”

Burslem – Chapel Lane, Market Place, St John’s Square;
Tunstall – Butterfield Place, Tower Square, Farndale Street, Hunt Street and Woodland Street;
Fenton – City Road (accessed from Baker Street);
Stoke – Aquinas Street, Copeland Street, Hide Street, Kingsway, South Wolfe Street, Spark Street and Vale Street;
Hanley – Charles Street, Hinde Street, Hope Street, Meigh Street, Pall Mall and Huntbach Street car parks.
Longton – Longton Exchange, Chancery Lane and Commerce Street;
Meir – Weston Road.
