SFFD Captain Jonathan Howald noted the rapid response prevented escalation. All 14 injuries fell into minor-to-moderate categories with no fatalities. Two patients declined hospital transport after on-site evaluation.
The California Street Cable Car Line, a historic SF icon since 1878, faced temporary disruption. Officials provided no timeline for reopening but confirmed the scene handover to transit authorities.
