The first all-electric Cayenne from the sports car manufacturer continues to draw interest ahead of its U.S. dealer arrival next year.
The Cayenne Electric has just been unveiled and is already receiving its first accolades: Newsweek magazine has recognized the Cayenne Electric as one of their Most Anticipated New Vehicles for 2026.
‟The Porsche Cayenne has a long history of being a family-friendly performance SUV and the upcoming model follows suit,” said Jennifer Cunningham, Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek. ‟The new Cayenne Electric’s power, innovative technology and low emissions are a natural fit for new luxury car buyers looking to stand out in 2026, making it one of Newsweek’s Most Anticipated New Vehicles.”

This award, now in its second year, looks at new car models coming to market in 2026 and gauges the interest of their readers in conjunction with expertise from the Newsweek editorial staff.
‟The Cayenne Electric has been received with significant interest, and seeing this anticipation of the U.S. arrival reflected by Newsweek is very gratifying. We are excited to welcome the car in the U.S. next year, enhancing the choice of powertrains within the Cayenne family for our customers” said Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.
Complementing the existing Cayenne combustion engine and hybrid models, the 2026 Cayenne Electric is available to order in two initial variants and is expected to reach U.S. dealers in late summer of next year.
With 13 standard colors, nine wheel designs and 12 interior combinations to choose from, the Cayenne Electric has already seen significant interest on the Porsche USA configurator since it was first shown to the public in late November, with over 200,000 configurations started to date.
