Two people were taken to the hospital in "serious condition" after a serious car accident on Monday afternoon.
A car was seen upside down on Cambie Road, just west of Hazelbridge Way in front of President Plaza, shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
Several ambulances were on scene, including two with primary care paramedics, one with advanced care paramedics and one paramedic supervisor, according to Brian Twaites, BCEHS Paramedic Public Information Officer, in an email to the Richmond News.
"Paramedics provided emergency medical care and transported two patients to the hospital in serious condition," said Twaites.
Richmond RCMP and Richmond Fire-Rescue were at the site of the accident and had westbound Cambie Road traffic between Hazelbridge Way and the mall entrance blocked.
Roads have reopened as of 5:30 p.m.
