NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — A 38-year-old male is dead after being hit by a car in New Braunfels Friday night.
At around 8:15 p.m. Friday, the New Braunfels Police Department and Fire departments responded to the 1400 block of IH35 N for a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
According to the report, a vehicle traveling on the frontage road struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway.

The pedestrian was transported to Seton Hays Hospital in critical condition. The victim was later pronounced deceased on Sunday despite life-saving efforts.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. No charges are anticipated, and the NBPD Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
