Two pedestrians were involved in a fatal collision on Wednesday in Cole County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a teenager was driving a 2002 Honda Accord east on Route M, just west of Stoney Gap Road.
At 8:20 p.m., an 85-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman from Jefferson City were crossing the roadway when the Honda struck both pedestrians.
The woman was airlifted to University Hospital in critical condition.
However, the man was taken to Capital Region Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m.
MSHP noted that this is Troop F's third fatality in December.
