The new year is set to be another bumper year for the car market, with a range of stunning new models set to hit the forecourts. Chinese manufacturers look set to continue making inroads, with Denza and OMODA offering some of the top picks. 
Range Rover’s much-anticipated Electric SUV is finally expected after delays, with the UK brand looking to stave off fierce competition from China’s SUV crossovers. Renault and Tesla are also ones to watch for very different reasons. The French manufacturer is hot off the success of its Renault 4 and Renault 5 models. 
Meanwhile, Tesla hopes to bounce back after a dismal sales slump in 2025 with a second-generation Roadster, which looks set to be one of the fastest EVs around.Range Rover Electric Initially expected to launch in 2025, the much-anticipated Range Rover Electric will hit the roads in 2026 to allow for extra testing. 
With Chinese manufacturers beginning to conquer the SUV market, this could be the most important Range Rover in generations.
The model will be fitted with a 118kWh battery capable of over 300 miles of real-world range. 
The model will have 552bhp capable of reaching top speeds of up to 155 mph and reaching 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
The model will support high-speed DC charging, with the model reaching 10-80% in about 20 minutes. 
However, this will come at a cost and the latest design is likely to set motorists back in excess of £100,000.OMODA 7 Sister company Jaecoo was arguably the motoring story of 2025, with over 20,000 vehicles sold in its debut year. 
However, OMODA hopes to chart its own course with its latest mid-size SUV set to hit the market from January 2026.
The new hybrid model is fitted with an 18.3 kWh battery and a 1.5-litre engine, with the vehicle capable of over 700 miles of range.
Inside, the model is equipped with a range of luxuries such as a dual-zone air-conditioning system, eco-leather heated steering wheel and a six-speaker Sony audio system. 
New cars come with an impressive seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, with prices for the hybrid model starting around £32,000.Renault TwingoRenault enjoyed a bumper 2025 with the Renault 5 and Renault 4 both launching to critical acclaim and Car of the Year prizes to boot. 
The success of the hatchback models has raised expectations for what’s next, with the Twingo one of the funkiest-looking designs on the radar. 
The Twingo once again embraces retro styling, with the model’s horseshoe-shaped daytime running lights one of the standout design features.
The model is set to be equipped with a 27.5kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a predicted range of around 163 miles. 
However, the biggest selling point is likely to be price, with Renault said to be aiming to release the model for under £20,000.Tesla RoadsterTesla has been losing ground in the EV race, with sales down by more than 5% in 2025 when compared to last year. 
However, the impressive second-generation Tesla Roadster looks set to kick some life into the brand and could be one of the most exciting EVs to launch this year. 
Tesla claims the new model will have a top speed of more than 250mph, with the car set to hit 9-62mph in less than two seconds. 
The car is said to feature a removable glass roof and will fit four passengers, making it an all-around performance package the whole family can enjoy. 
Tesla is expecting the car to hit 620 miles on a single charge, but this all comes at a cost, with the base model set to hit the market at around £160,000.
