CCTV Captures Fatal Crash as Truck Loaded With Husk Crushes Bolero on Rampur–Nainital Highway
New Delhi: A fatal road accident was reported on the Rampur–Nainital highway on Monday, after a truck loaded with husk overturned onto a Bolero car near Pahadi Gate. The impact killed the driver of a Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) on the spot, police said. The incident led to major traffic disruption on the busy highway, with vehicles stranded for a prolonged period.
Authorities rushed to the scene, cleared the debris and began an investigation. The accident was captured on CCTV, and the footage is being examined to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.

In other news from Delhi, a 16-year-old boy died after falling from a plastic shed at a restaurant in north Delhi’s Gujranwala Town, with his family alleging foul play even as police maintain that preliminary findings suggest an accidental fall.
The incident occurred on December 28 at Invitation Restaurant. Police said a PCR call was received at 5:51 pm at Model Town police station, reporting that a teenager had fallen from a height at the restaurant premises.

The deceased has been identified as Kabin Kumar (16), son of Rahul Kumar and a resident of Gujranwala Town-2. According to police, Kabin had visited the restaurant with his friends — Aryamen, Kabir and Yash Tyagi — all Class 11 students of Prudence School, Ashok Vihar, to spend time together.
Initial enquiries revealed that the group accessed the rooftop via stairs. Kabin reportedly climbed onto a plastic shed installed between shops to cover a gallery, lost balance and fell. He sustained critical injuries and later succumbed.
