STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A motor vehicle accident was reported on Sunday morning at the intersection of Rockland Avenue and Shirra Avenue in New Springville, prompting a response from emergency services, preliminary radio transmissions said.
An FDNY official told the Advance/SILive.com that units arrived on scene around 9:50 a.m. and confirmed injuries, requesting EMS support to assist those involved.
One person was transported to Staten Island University Hospital North in Ocean Breeze in unknown condition.
Three vehicles were damaged in the collision, according to photos taken at the scene.
A white, a red and a black car were seen with extensive body damage, the photos show.
The red car appeared to have sustained both front and rear-end damage after being hit from behind and pushed into the car parked in front of it, photos show.
