An Abington man who won $1 million playing the lottery plans on some big life changes — including a new car, home improvements and investments.
David Skillings, of Abington, won $1 million playing the lottery’s “100X” scratch ticket game. Skillings chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
He told the lottery he wants to invest the winnings, buy a new car and make some home improvements with his prize.
Skillings bought his winning ticket at Your Convenience Store, located at 800 Brockton Ave. in Abington. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
