A two-year-old child has died after a car ploughed through a car park fence and hit pedestrians, according to reports.
A man in his 20s man was arrested at the scene, in Whitstable, Kent, for causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
The shocking collision happened in the Gorrell Tank car park and police said they were called to the scene at 8.24pm on Saturday.

A fire service spokesman said it was called to a “crash involving two cars”, and sent three fire engines to the scene in Whitstable, Kent.
Three ambulances were also in attendance alongside two critical care paramedics.
Three patients were treated at the scene of the crash in the car park including the young child who died.

A spokesperson for Canterbury City Council has said it is providing "help and support".
A statement read: "Our thoughts are with everyone affected by last night's incident. We have officers on site today to offer help and support."
A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage are sought by officers investigating a fatal collision in Whitstable.
"Kent Police was called to the junction of Harbour Street and Cromwell Road, at 8.24pm on Saturday 16 August 2025 following a report of an incident involving a car and multiple pedestrians.
"A man suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. A two-year-old child was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
"A man in his 20s man was arrested at the scene for causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody whilst enquiries continue."

A witness shared details about the aftermath of the collision to KentOnline. The woman claimed a family member saw a car had gone through a barrier at the car park.
The witness said: "My granddaughter said she could see a car had gone through the barrier.
"And when my husband came back with the car, he said lots of people were crying."
Kent Police has urged members of the public to submit CCTV and dashcam footage following the fatal collision.
Cops have asked witnesses, including passengers travelling on the bus who have not yet spoken to police, to reach out.

An onlooker in Whitstable revealed details about the aftermath of the collision, according to KentOnline.
She said: "A nice young man approached us and advised us not to take the children to where we had parked as something had happened.
"My granddaughter said she could see a car had gone through the barrier. And when my husband came back with the car, he said lots of people were crying."
Canterbury City Council, which operates the Gorrell Tank car park, said its "thoughts are with everyone affected" by the shocking incident.
The council has sicne reopened the car park and saud officers were on site today to "offer help and support".
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said in a statement: "We sent three ambulances and two Critical Care Paramedics to the scene.
"Our crews treated three patients at the scene – an adult male, an adult female and a young child."
Police confirmed one man was left with serious injuried and was "taken to a local hospital for treatment".
