NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It’s been two weeks since the New Year’s Eve fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a woman and critically injured a man.
The Metro Nashville Police Department is releasing more details about the suspect’s car that hit them.
Police said the car is believed to be a maroon and or burgundy Nissan Sentra with a sunroof that is likely a 2020 model year or newer based on the wheel pattern.
Police originally believed it was a maroon Ford Mustang.
The car of interest will likely have front-end and passenger side damage and possibly a broken windshield.
The car hit and killed 23-year-old Afriye Seegars as she stood on the sidewalk and was about to enter a rideshare outside Pecker’s Bar and Grill at 237 Hermitage Avenue. Another person standing with Seegars, 24-year-old James Stephens, was also seriously injured.
