Several people were removed from their vehicles and detained by ICE on Monday morning in Somerset County, officials said.
Warren Mayor Shaun Fine said he saw a video online showing three people being removed from vehicles on Hillcrest Boulevard.
A photo posted in a local Facebook group shows people being pulled out of a car on Stirling Road at about 9 a.m. Monday.

The Warren Township Democratic Committee had harsh words for ICE following their latest action in New Jersey.
“This follows a pattern of emboldened and increasingly violent action taken to intimidate and terrorize our neighbors and friends, especially those of color,” the committee said in a statement.
“We strongly condemn these heinous acts and call on elected leaders to stand with us in advocating for ICE’s removal from Warren Township and New Jersey.”
ICE didn’t immediately responded to a request for additional information.
Warren police, meanwhile, said they weren’t apprised of any ICE activity.
“The Warren Township Police Department was not involved in, nor provided any notice of, any federal law enforcement activity that may have occurred in our town on Monday,” police Chief Robert Ferreiro said in an emailed statement. “We do not have information regarding specific locations, the nature of the activity, or whether any individuals were detained or removed.”
He added that local police departments follow directives from the state Office of the Attorney General and don’t take part in immigration enforcement activities.
Fine, a Republican, said township officials hoped to receive additional information in the coming days.
“I’ve been told that typically we do get informed when something (like this) occurs,” he said.
Monday’s arrests in Warren comes days after ICE conducted similar raids in Morristown and Red Bank.
In nearby Berkeley Heights, the township’s Democratic Committee also condemned the actions of ICE.
“The Berkeley Heights Democratic Committee is deeply concerned by reports of aggressive ICE enforcement activity in nearby Warren, Morristown, Summit and other neighboring communities and the fear such actions create for immigrant families across our region.
“While public safety is important, enforcement approaches that rely on intimidation, sudden raids, or the targeting of people who are contributing members of our communities undermine trust, destabilize families, and erode the sense of safety that every resident deserves.”
