The parking ban has gone into effect for multiple cities across northeastern Ohio in response to an ongoing snowstorm.
Most of the bans remain in effect through the night into Friday and were issued ahead of the snowstorm, which began on Wednesday and caught local motorists by surprise.
“Caught me by surprise. I’m a truck driver, so I was driving, it was all nice, and out of nowhere it just started snowing,” said resident Mustafa Mohammed to local Fox affiliate WJW.
“It’s a good amount of snow. I like it usually not this sleety, but it’s fun to see it come in,” added local Clara Watkins.

Some municipalities like Lorain, Newburgh Heights, and Rocky River have their parking bans in effect until further notice, while the others are set to end at various times from Thursday night through 8 am on Friday at the absolute latest.
