SUAMICO (WLUK) – One person is dead after they drove off US-41 Saturday night in Brown County.
According to the Brown County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to US-41 and Riverside Drive around 11:30 p.m. after getting an iPhone crash notification.
Deputies believe a car was going north on US-41 when it veered off the highway and into the median. The car then fell onto Riverside Drive. It overturned and came to a rest north of the Suamico River. That is near Suamico Fire Station 1.
The victim died at the scene from injuries in the crash, deputies say. The victim's name is being withheld until family is notified.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The Suamico Fire Department, County Rescue, the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol all assisted at the scene.
