ROCHESTER — Two Rochester police officers were struck by a vehicle Sunday night, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Around 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, two officers were outside their squad when a vehicle struck them on the 2300 block of Elton Hills Drive Northwest. The officers were responding to a call for service.

A Minnesota State Patrol report identified the officers as 51-year-old James Michael Logan and 22-year-old Preston Satzke. Both had non-life-threatening injuries, according to the state patrol report. RPD said the officers were transported to a hospital for “evaluation and care.”
The report says a Honda Pilot, driven by 18-year-old Najmo Nuno Khalif, was westbound on Elton Hills Drive Northwest when it collided with a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Byron Dwayne Campbell, and the two officers on foot.
The report also noted that the road conditions were snowy/icy at the time of the crash.
