Users on social media are posting of a fire at Heathrow Airport this morning. One user posted a picture showing a car engulfed in flames.
The user captioned the post: “BREAKING NEWS. Another car on fire at Heathrow Airport, this time Terminal 5”.

Another user posted a video which shows plumes of spoke coming from one of the terminals at the airport. The user said: “Good start to the day with a fire at Heathrow T5”.
A Heathrow spokesperson said: “Earlier this morning our teams responded to a vehicle fire on the Terminal 5 Departures forecourt. The fire was extinguished quickly and there were no injuries. The airport is now operating as usual”.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “We were called at 0756 hrs today to a report of a car alight near Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. One fire engine attended the scene but the fire had already been safely extinguished by the airport’s fire service upon their arrival. There were no reports of any injuries.” According to the brigade the vehicle involved was diesel-powered.
