A major crash at I-35 and New Braunfels has shut down the interstate due to downed signage.
Update: The highway was reopened at 3 p.m., TxDOT said in a statement.

The Texas Department of Transportation reported the incident at 8:45 a.m. on I-35 between the Austin Street and New Braunfels Avenue on the northbound lanes of the highway. Traffic monitoring website SigAlert says that delays up to an hour are possible.
Highway cameras show the overhead highway signage for New Braunfels Avenue hanging at an angle over the highway exit.
