The driver of the car reacted to the traffic stop by crashing into two Wilmington police cars and caused some damage, police said.
Afterward, the driver took off onto I-95 and was chased by Delaware State Police troopers as they made their way into Delaware County, Pennsylvania, officials said.
At one point during the chase, the car crashed into a median on the highway as well as another car and then stopped in Chester City near the Commodore Barry Bridge, according to police.
Officers said they were able to arrest the driver and passenger of the car who were identified as Jamar Warren, 18, and Aviaire Evans, 18.
Both suspects were transferred into Pennsylvania State Police custody and then transported to the Pennsylvania State Police Media station for fugitive of justice charges. Warren was also charged in Pennsylvania for drug and crash-related offenses, state police said.
