UAE-based TAG Dynamics has developed the VELOX Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), a new light tactical platform designed to support small-unit mobility and mission flexibility, the company said in a statement.
The VELOX ISV is positioned as a purpose-built infantry squad vehicle focused on rapid movement, modular payload integration, and field reliability. According to TAG Dynamics, the vehicle is intended for operations that require speed, range, and adaptability across varied terrain.
As noted by the company, the VELOX ISV is built on a commercial pickup chassis and configured as a 2+2 four-seat platform. It is rated to carry up to 1,000 kilograms of payload, allowing units to install mission equipment, modular systems, or an optional rotating turret with a gunner station depending on operational requirements.
TAG Dynamics said the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 175 kilometers per hour and has an operational range of about 600 kilometers. The company stated that the lightweight but rigid design is intended to balance high mobility with durability during sustained field use.
The firm added that the interior layout was developed to support rapid crew movement and task execution, while the reinforced exterior is designed to withstand demanding operational conditions. The VELOX ISV is aimed at infantry units that require a fast, low-profile vehicle for transport, reconnaissance, and light fire support roles.
Infantry squad vehicles have become an area of growing interest among militaries seeking to improve small-unit mobility without relying on heavier armored platforms. These vehicles are typically used to move squads quickly, carry equipment, and support dispersed operations, particularly in expeditionary or irregular warfare environments.
