The M5 has been closed after a West Midlands Police car crashed at about 09:00 GMT
The M5 southbound was closed after a police vehicle crashed injuring three officers.
It happened at about 09:00 GMT between junction three (Kidderminster) and junction four (Bromsgrove).
"Three members of our staff have been injured following a single-vehicle collision involving a marked West Midlands Police vehicle on the M5," a spokesperson for the West Midlands force said.
"Their injuries are still being assessed but are not believed to be life-threatening. We are liaising with West Mercia Police who are investigating the circumstances." The carriageway was shut for more than two hours with trapped cars being turned around. It has since reopened.
A West Mercia spokesperson told the BBC inquiries were ongoing.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the injured officers were not believed to be seriously injured and had been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
