The Cupra Tindaya concept is named after a volcanic island and promises to deliver a unique experience to the driver
A new concept is about to take center stage at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich, where Cupra will showcase its latest vision for future design. Scheduled for a September 8 reveal, the Cupra Tindaya represents the next chapter in the brand’s evolving styling language.

The concept takes its name from a volcanic mountain on Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. Cupra introduced the name in a short CGI video, where an asteroid dramatically carves into volcanic rock to form the word Tindaya.
First Look at the Design
The company has also shared a teaser photo that focuses on the rear end of the new concept. The slim protruding taillights extend to the profile, featuring illuminated Tindaya lettering. We can also see the sculpted rear fenders that feature a glossy carbon-style texture. This is combined with copper accents and a matte finish for the upper part of the body.
The teasers don’t provide any indication about the body style of the concept. However, our best guess is that it might be a coupe-SUV or a sporty crossover. An earlier video revealed a futuristic cockpit with an illuminated diamond-shaped structure and a ribbed texture.
The design theme for the exterior and the interior of the Tintaya is “No Drivers, No Cupra”, so you can be certain it won’t be a robotaxi. Instead, it is described as the “perfect symbiosis between human and machine” hinting at an advanced digital interface.

Cupra didn’t reveal the powertrain type of the show car, but there is a good chance it will be fully electric. It will also be quite sporty, as according to the automaker, it “delivers the maximum expression of driver focus, while offering a unique experience, enhancing the driver’s emotions”.
Besides the Tindaya, Cupra’s stand in Munich will also include a near-production prototype of the Raval with camouflaged bodywork. The fully electric Cupra Raval shares its underpinnings with the upcoming production version of the VW ID.2all hatchback and the Skoda Epiq SUV. It is expected to hit the market in 2026, serving as the entry point in Cupra’s EV lineup.
