State Patrol said one of the passengers of a vehicle involved in the crash was reportedly found shot dead. The driver of the vehicle in which the passenger was found shot fled the scene.
While State Patrol is investigating the crash, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is leading the homicide investigation, reports KOAA.
U.S. 24 remained closed as of 11 a.m.

Part of U.S. 24 near Falcon is closed for the “foreseeable future” after a traffic crash Tuesday morning, according to law enforcement.
The road is closed from Woodmen to Judge Orr roads, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. The office announced the closure around 9:30 a.m.
