According to Ukravtoprom, in August 2025, Ukrainians purchased about 6.8 thousand new passenger cars.
Although this figure is 16% lower than in August 2024, demand was abnormally high then due to the expected introduction of an additional 15% tax on cars. At the same time, compared to July this year, the market showed growth of 5%.
Toyota remains the sales leader (999 cars), while Chinese manufacturer BYD is in second place (860 cars). Next in the ranking are Renault (529) , Volkswagen (527), Skoda (407), Hyundai (393), BMW (337), Honda (328), Suzuki (231) and Audi (225).
The bestseller of August was the Renault Duster crossover, which sold 486 units.
Since the beginning of the year, 46 thousand new cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 3% less than in the same period in 2024.
Thus, despite difficult conditions, the market is showing stabilization and signs of gradual recovery.
