Police are investigating after a car crashed into a business last night.
Just after 11pm on Friday 5 September, police and emergency services were called to Saltfleet Street to reports of a Holden sedan colliding into business.
It will be alleged the car was hoon driving and lost control just before the crash.
The impact of the collision caused moderate structural damage to the building.
Fortunately, the business was not occupied at the time.
It was reported to police that the Holden left the scene shortly after the collision.
SES crews were in attendance to secure the damaged building.
Just before 1am this morning the driver of the Holden a 31-year-old man from Aldinga Beach presented at the Christies Beach Police Station.
The driver was submitted to a breath test where he provided a positive result of 0.070.
The driver was issued an expiation notice for drink driving and the vehicle was defected.
