Firefighters were called to Thimbleby, near Osmotherley, at 12.42pm today after a car caught fire.
A crew from Northallerton attended the scene, where they found a single vehicle well alight. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

The fire is believed to have started due to an overheated engine.
The vehicle suffered 50 per cent fire damage to the front and was completely destroyed at the rear.
