Police have arrested a suspected stalker after a car was torched at 1am. Officers made the arrest after the vehicle was set on fire in Littleborough, Rochdale, on Saturday.
Today (Sunday, September 7) Greater Manchester Police released brief details of the incident and revealed officers have arrested a man on suspicion of stalking and conspiracy to commit arson.
Officers were called to Cleggswood Avenue in Littleborough at around 1.15am yesterday morning (6 September) following reports of a vehicle fire.

"Thankfully, no-one was hurt during the incident," said GMP in a statement. One man, 42, has been arrested on suspicion of stalking and conspiracy to commit arson, the force confirmed. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information or footage is being urged to contact GMP.
"This includes anyone who may have seen something suspicious, or has relevant doorbell, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area at the time," said GMP.
