Sporting bronze accents and a Midnight Purple paint job, the Heritage Edition is bound to turn heads
The seventh-generation Nissan Z has been tickling our nostalgia bone ever since it was introduced in 2021. The company is now upping the retro vibes with the 2026 Z Heritage Edition, which is a love letter to the 1990s.
Unveiled at ZCON, the Heritage Edition is based on the Z Performance trim and incorporates cues from the 300ZX and GT-R. The latter is prominently on display as the special edition wears a beautiful Midnight Purple paint job.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg as the model rides on 19-inch RAYS wheels that have a bronze finish. The bronze theme is also echoed on the “Twin Turbo” body side graphics. Buyers will also find a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a Heritage Edition crest behind the greenhouse.
The interior largely carries over, but there are unique kick plates and floor mats. Since it’s based on the Performance variant, buyers will also find leather and suede seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation. They’re joined by a Bose audio system, HomeLink, and aluminum pedals.
Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. It can be connected to either a six-speed manual or an optional nine-speed automatic.
The Heritage Edition package costs $2,940, which brings the total price up to $55,910.
2026 Z Holds The Line On Pricing
Besides the Heritage Edition, Nissan announced the 2026 Z will start at $42,970 before a $1,245 destination fee. The sticker price remains unchanged, although the delivery fee has climbed by $50.
That’s a welcome development in an age when model year changeovers are typically accompanied by significant price increases. However, there doesn’t appear to be many updates besides the Heritage Edition as Nissan only mentioned a new Boulder Gray exterior with a black roof.
