A four-vehicle collision has sparked long delays on the A1M.
The A1M in South Yorkshire is closed southbound between J37 (Doncaster) and J36 (Warmsworth) following a collision involving four vehicles. As a result of the collision, there's a spillage of oil and lots of debris across the carriageway.
Emergency services are in attendance and recovery work is ongoing at the scene.
National Highways are advising drivers to take an alternative route.
Road users are advised to follow the Solid Circle diversion symbol on road signs, it said. The route is as follows:
A significant closure is in place on the A1M near Doncaster. The southbound lane between J37 and J36 is set to remain closed for several hours.
The crash – between J37 in Doncaster and J36 in Warmsworth – has triggered a spillage of oil and lots of debris across the carriageway, National Highways have said.
Drivers have been warned to expcect delays.
South Yorkshire emergency services are on the A1M. An earlier crash has caused long queues, with the road expected to remain closed until at least 3pm, according to Google traffic maps.
