The A500 at Barthomley is currently closed for emergency repairs, following a car crash and blaze on the evening of Thursday 5 February.
At 7.50pm, emergency services were called to a crash on the A500 between the M6 and Meremoor Moss Roundabout.
They discovered a black Audi A4 and a grey Peugeot 2008 had smashed into each other, with one of the vehicles setting fire, spreading to the other.
Two casualties received first aid, before being transported to hospital by North West Ambulance Service Paramedics. They are expected to make a full recovery.
Due to the crash and blaze, part of the major road was damaged, with Cheshire East Highways called to the scene.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews attended a collision involving two cars, one of which had caught fire, with the blaze spreading to the second vehicle.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“Two casualties received initial first aid at the scene before being transported to hospital by paramedics.
“Police also attended and closed the road while the incident was dealt with.”
Cheshire East Highways remain at the scene, initially assessing damage to the A500 road surface, before planing out the defective area ahead of resurfacing works.
Highways officers say they are “working hard” to make the area safe to reopen the road “as soon as it is safe to do so.”
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: “At 7.50pm on Thursday 5 February, police were called to reports of a collision on the A500 between the M6 and Meremoor roundabout.

“Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service were also called to the scene, although there were no reports of any serious injuries.
“Officers left the scene at 11.50pm, and the incident was handed over to Highways officers for resurfacing to be undertaken.”
