An electric bike rider is being rushed to hospital with “serious” injuries after the air ambulance was called to a crash.
The man in his 40s was involved in a smash with a blue Peugeot 5008 on the A41 North Western Avenue at around 12.05pm today (November 13).
Herts Police have confirmed they are in attendance alongside the air ambulance service and the East of England Ambulance Service.

The e-bike rider was being taken to hospital via ground ambulance as of 1.25pm.

Road closures are in place on the A41 between the Hartspring Lane roundabout and Sandy Lane.
Herts Highways is advising motorists to “seek alternative routes” amid heavy traffic on the A41 and many nearby roads.
There is significant congestion in Hartspring Lane, Radlett Road, Bushey Mill Lane, Little Bushey Lane, Aldenham Road, and Hilfield Lane, according to Google Maps.
Update: A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Trust said: “We sent an ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance to the scene.
“The e-bike rider was transported by road to St Mary’s Hospital for further care.”
