MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – All lanes of Interstate 90 at Wisconsin Highway 19 are back open after a crash between a semitruck and a car, officials confirmed Wednesday.
The first call reporting the crash came in around 6:38 p.m., Dane County Communications said.
The Madison Fire Department said a car was partly trapped underneath the semi, and that one person was pinned.
MFD said crews helped one person out of their vehicle, though it was unclear if that was the same person that was pinned.
Both directions of I-90 were closed around 6:43 p.m., a WisDOT notification said. WisDOT would not reveal any further details about the crash.
Eastbound lanes reopened around 7:40 p.m. and all westbound lanes reopened at 10:12 p.m., WisDOT notifications said.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Fire Department and Med Flight responded to the scene.
