NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Classic and antique cars and trucks, representing a century’s worth of automotive history, will roll into Newtown on Sunday, July 20 for the highly-anticipated Newtown Antique & Classic Auto Show.
Organized by the Newtown Business Association and sponsored by Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic/St. Mary Medical Center, this year’s event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State Street with the town’s historic streetscape providing the backdrop for the show. The rain date is Sunday, July 27.
The annual show is a staple of the summer season in Newtown, drawing thousands of spectators to admire an impressive array of classic and antique automobiles. Car enthusiasts from near and far showcase their prized vehicles and compete for trophies in 14 categories, ranging from pre-1920 models through the year 2000.

This year’s classes include:
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to standout vehicles, and this year’s Marque Car celebrates the iconic Classic Porsche, with stunning entries like the featured 1969 Porsche 912 Coupe.
The event also encourages the local community to shop locally, bringing thousands of people to the bustling borough.
“Our goal is always to encourage our community to patronize local businesses and spend time in our downtown,” said NBA President Dave Marcolla. “The added benefit of classic cars parked up and down State Street ensures businesses will benefit from the crowds and fun!”
State Street will be transformed into a vibrant display of automotive history, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to view beautifully restored and preserved vehicles up close. The festive atmosphere promises fun for the whole family, with plenty of photo opportunities and chances to learn about the rich heritage of classic cars.

“We love seeing the new cars that decide to come out each year but also love catching up with the owners that have been participating faithfully in years past,” said Dan Petty, event chair. “Folks have upgraded more things over the year, gotten fresh paint and even sometimes acquired new (old) cars to show off. We love seeing the level of passion and dedication that gets put into each car while also appreciating the level of character others seek to preserve. The smiles on the faces of the attendees and the participants year after year make the hard work we put into the show worthwhile.”
Petty encourages everyone “not to miss out on this unforgettable event that celebrates the beauty and craftsmanship of classic automobiles. Whether you’re a classic car aficionado or simply looking for a fun day out, the Newtown Antique & Classic Auto Show has something for everyone.”
