Aston Martin is arriving at the 2025 Monterey Car Week with a bang, showcasing the might of its Q by Aston Martin bespoke service with a new special collection of convertible sports cars dubbed the Thrillseeker Collection. The new collection celebrates 75 years of Aston Martin in The Americas, which is why the British marque has gone all-out for its 2025 Car Week display, showcasing the rest of its lineup alongside the trio of Thrillseeker models.
Aston has used its finest series production convertibles as the basis for the Thrillseeker Collection, meaning the Vantage Roadster, DB12 Volante, and Vanquish Volante make up the trio. Each has been given the Q treatment with bespoke finishes, each meant to evoke the sights and sounds of the Monterey region of California. Specifically, “The collection is inspired by the evolving hues of Carmel Bay and the visceral joy of open-air driving.”
The Vantage Roadster wears Mako Blue paintwork, signifying the dawn skies and morning fog, while the DB12 Volante is finished in Seychelles Blue, meant to channel the vibrancy of the afternoon sun. The Vanquish Volante takes a darker turn, finished in Ultramarine Black to evoke the mystery of dusk. While the paint colors differ, a common thread unites all three models: a bronze hue used for the wheels, side strake design elements, and rotary center dial.
This, says Aston, evokes the amber sun of the Pacific Coast. Each will also be accompanied by a set of bespoke luggage.
The Thrillseeker Edition isn’t just a showpiece, but will be available in limited numbers of nine units, all presold. We assume that’s three of each car, and it’s likely just three buyers who’ve decided to get matching sets for their garages. These will be delivered in Q4, 2025.
Aston has also confirmed an American debut taking place at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on Friday, which will be the production version of the Valhalla. Aston’s been showcasing the 1,064-horsepower mid-engined supercar a lot of late, but that’s been in prototype form as it finalized the F1-derived aero and refines the tri-motor plug-in hybrid system and how it interacts with an AMG-derived V8. Often referred to as the ‘Son of Valkyrie,’ the Valhalla is Aston’s first series-production mid-engine supercar, its first PHEV, and its first hybrid with a dedicated EV driving mode.
After its reveal at The Quail, it will be seen on the Pebble Beach Concept Car Lawn.
At an event with the prestige of Car Week, Aston will be privately hosting VIP clientele, surrounded by examples of the brand’s latest sports cars, supercars, and luxury GTs. The House of Aston Martin will be used to showcase the Thrillseeker Collection, Valhalla, and DBX S and newly-launched Vantage S in a luxurious setting, where these VIP guests will also have the opportunity to finalize the design specifications of their Valhallas and Aston’s “next generation sports cars” while they sip Glenfiddich whiskey, Aston’s official whiskey partner.
“Monterey Car Week is the perfect backdrop to celebrate Aston Martin’s 75th anniversary in the Americas. From bespoke creations such as the stunning Thrillseeker Collection, to the array of new sports cars and derivatives on display, alongside the much-anticipated Valhalla, this week exemplifies our commitment to craftsmanship, performance, and prestige, which will be on full display for the world’s most influential automotive enthusiasts and collectors.”
– Jolyon Nash, Aston Martin Chief Commercial Officer
